About Openwingss

Openwingss is a centre of excellence in research and training for teachers, parents and students. The founder directors are Prof. Dr.Pradeep Awachar and Kanchan Patokar. Dr.Pradeep a child right activist, scholar of Psychology and the passionate learner always believed in understanding the children and bringing necessary reforms in education which can support children for liberal thinking and joyful learning. Kanchan Patokar, who has always been a sensitive teacher and devoted educationist firmly believes that education is the most powerful instrument to bring desired changes in the society. 25 yrs. of her experience both as a teacher and principal has made her to think on effective implementation of real objectives of education where child-centered approach in teaching learning process is necessary. Both Dr.Pradeep and Kanchan believe that education is a media which can establish peace and harmony in the world if we do sincere efforts for collaborative global learning. But they feel, to achieve this, we need to impart not just education but right education in the right manner that can bring the real change in the society. By right education they mean the education - that helps an individual for self-realization, inculcates human values along with Modern Science Technology, develops life skills, strengthens self learning skill with experiential and conceptual understanding, gives freedom to individual to choose his/her own path of professional, individual and social life, develops the values of patriotism and global peace & harmony, helps to be both secular and spiritual.

According to them it must be realized that education is a psychological process of teaching and learning and for the successful execution of this process, the mental, emotional and psychological aspects of teachers', parents' and students’ personality are to be valued. The quality education is possible with the quality of thoughts of the people imparting education. Dr. Pradeep and Kanchan prefer to describe 'Right to Education' Act as 'Right to Right Education.' Act.

The idea of Openwingss came to birth on Thursday, 10th Sept. 2020. The name Openwingss indicate that we are willing that all individuals should open the wings of their will, determination and liberal thinking. It also motivates the learners for research in teaching-learning process and brings innovations and new ideas in education to make it more practical and applicable in real life. Encouraging the research spirit in individuals, openwingss also stands for the need of enlightening many minds and opening many aspect of one's personality. It also symbolizes the openness of education throughout the world as birds never have the boundaries and can fly in the open sky.
